Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Jitesh Sharma made all overs look like Powerplay
From the outset Suryavanshi looked in no mood to settle for normal. He raced to his fifty in just 17 balls and reached his century in 32 deliveries — one of the fastest by an Indian at this level. He dispatched anything loose from the UAE bowlers and ensured the momentum stayed firmly with India.
Closing fire by Jitesh Sharma
In the last five overs, Suryavanshi unleashed full carnage. One over yielded 30 runs, including four sixes and a boundary. His power hitting erased any hope of a UAE comeback and set up a total pushing near the 300 mark.
UAE never got close
Having built the mammoth total, India’s bowlers did the rest. UAE never recovered after the fierce start India made. The outcome was never in serious doubt once the Suryavanshi momentum kicked in.
Top Performers
Vaibhav Suryavanshi
In a standout blockbuster display, Suryavanshi smashed a blistering 144 off just 42 balls, including an astounding 15 sixes and 11 fours, to lay the foundation for India A’s mammoth total of 297/4. This knock not only set the tone for the innings, but firmly stamped his intent as one of the most destructive young batters around.
Jitesh Sharma
Playing as captain and wicket-keeper, Jitesh stepped in after Suryavanshi’s fireworks to steer the innings to a massive finish. He carved out an unbeaten 83 off 32 balls, adding authority and power when wickets were falling and the pressure to keep the momentum high was on. His composed aggression and finishing skills meant India A didn’t merely get a big total — they made sure they pressed well beyond what UAE could realistically chase.
